Mission-driven, science based, but practical
Our mission is to mobilize the world’s economy to reward carbon net-negative emissions.
We are a group of science-based doers who are mission-driven, and yet practical. We are building a worldwide network of buyers and suppliers which will result in a positive snowball effect toward a net-zero economy. We are not afraid of the hard work that is required to deliver our mission. In fact, our working culture could be described as “what needs to be done will be done”. We sort out the facts, never give up on carbon mathematics, and we all do hands-on work. Employees are given responsibility, and we let our work speak for itself.
Learning through questions and debate
We are constantly learning through fact-based debate that is respectful for all parties. Debate for us means that you are confident about your knowledge, you have good self-esteem, and you value your expertise. Also, in our view, debate is a fast track to high-quality results. And we really enjoy it! So, don’t be afraid of expressing your valuable opinions. Be bold, your opinion matters, and never walk away from your principles! However, be ready to change your perspective and opinion if you learn something new and if facts are speaking loudly.
Out with the egos, in with the Personalities
Who are you and what can you bring to our team? At Puro.earth, we consider teams as a tool for reaching our goals, and we truly value diversity and teamwork. Well-working teams are based on trust, and putting ourselves in the shoes of others. The fact is that we are not all the same and everyone can add to our team with their uniqueness and knowledge. That is richness! So please, leave your ego at the door, be friendly, and let everyone get to know YOU.
Work-life balance
When we work, we focus on achieving our goals efficiently. The rest of the time is free time: it’s for recovery, family, friends, hobbies – you name it. One of our main priorities is to maintain a good work-life balance, avoid overtime and long working hours. We see that working more is not sustainable but working smarter is. Wellbeing is a foundation for a good level of resilience and succeeding in (work) life, so find the right way to manage your time, lead your work and treat yourself to be happy. Resting is not a waste of time, it’s an investment. Relaxing is a source of energy. Breaks give you a chance to refocus your attention. Play is not frivolous, but a path to connection and creativity. We are giving everyone the space to find the most suitable ways to work, and we’re confident that this will reflect positively on the outcome.
